Foster
Founded in 1870, Foster has become the hub of the Corner Inlet region. With a population of 1250, the town is better serviced than most because it has become the centre for the areas population and the large tourist influx visiting Wilson's Promontory National Park, the beautiful Waratah surf beaches and the Corner Inlet fishing grounds.

The town has 2 supermarkets, 2 butchers, 2 bakeries, fish shop, fruit and vegetable market, post office, variety shops and eateries, historic hotel, 3 banks, chemist, large medical centre, hospital, police station, ambulance station, recreational facilities including 18 hole golf course and an art /craft gallery , library & museum in the central town park on the banks of Stockyard Creek. Both secondary, primary and kindergarten school requirements are available within the township.

Supported by the surrounding towns of Fish Creek, Buffalo, Waratah Bay, Walkerville, Sandy Point, Yanakie, Port Franklin, Toora, Welshpool and Port Welshpool. Just a scenic 2 hour drive from Melbourne tourists are well catered for with a diverse range of activites and accommodation.
