Russell Jones matriculated and worked in government before shifting to live in Melbourne where he was employed in accounting for several years. Deciding after travelling overseas to head back to the area he was raised in on the Wilsons Promontory coast he worked first in the oil industry but between jobs entered real estate at Foster working for Davis and Linton Real Estate from 1982. A down turn in the industry forced the closure of that office but after several forays into different vocations he returned to the industry he loved most when he commenced with SEJ Real Estate in 1995. He obtained his full license in 1995 and became the OIEC for SEJ in 1997.
Russell is married with 4 daughters and resides on a few acres on the out skirts of Foster. He enjoys golf, fishing, travel, and most of all, his large family circle. He is past retiring age but is still enjoying the work and remains at the Foster office, showing off beautiful South Gippsland to anybody he can find who wants a bit of a local history lesson and a chance to buy in to the area he thinks is the best in Australia.
