Sandy Point is a small coastal township in Victoria situated near Wilsons Promontory National Park at the entrance of a narrow peninsula that fronts both Waratah Bay and Shallow Inlet with its adjacent wetlands. The commercial centre of Sandy Point features a cafe, general store, mini golf facility and real estate office on Beach Parade, which is separated from the beach by the row of sand dunes which constitute the Sandy Point Foreshore Reserve. Sandy Point is primarily a holiday retreat town, with the majority of residences being holiday houses and apartments.
